We are proud to announce the launch of the Stanford Value-Based Care Academy, an initiative supported through the Stanford Value-Based Care program and Physician Partnership Program.
This course is inspired by feedback from Department of Medicine faculty who identified a common challenge related to having conversations about high and low value care with their patients. To address this challenge, this introductory course is designed to give Stanford Health Care professionals an overview of how we can incorporate value-based care into our practice. The first lessons cover the principles of health insurance markets and ways in which we can incorporate value-based care into our everyday practice. The final lesson, developed with the Physician Partnership Program, focuses on addressing challenging physician-patient conversations related to value using demonstrations of the relationship centered communication (RCC) framework of connection, co-creation and collaboration.
This course is delivered completely online and will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
