
Full course description
This course provides an overview of metabolic biochemistry with an emphasis on clinical applications. Through this course, students will gain (1) an appreciation and working knowledge of the central role of biochemistry in medicine, (2) experience with problem-solving in applications of biochemical principles to clinical situations, (3) familiarity with critical reading of the medical biochemistry literature and (4) an understanding of current concepts in biochemistry research and their impact on the present and future practice of medicine.
